Terms of Service

Effective 27 August 2026. These terms govern MustBeTheMusic.app, its chart, its checkout and everything around them. Using the site, placing an entry or paying for one means you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not place an entry and do not pay for a place on the chart.

Who runs this MustBeTheMusic.app is operated by Blue Blip Tech LLC, a limited liability company formed in the State of Georgia, United States. "We" and "us" mean that company. Write to support@bluebliptech.com about anything on this page. These terms sit alongside the chart rules and the collection notice; where the rules and these terms disagree, these terms decide.

What you are buying A place on the chart is paid advertising. It is not a review, a recommendation, a certification or an independent ranking, and nothing about a track's position says we have listened to it or think it is good. Your money buys the rank the payment can hold at the moment it lands, and nothing else. It does not buy clicks, plays, listeners, followers, sales, a fixed rank, a fixed run at that rank, exclusivity, or any result at all. Anyone may pay more and take your place, and someone will.
How a bid works Bids are whole dollars, from $5 up. A link holds one entry: entering the same link again raises the bid it already holds and charges only the difference. Taking #1 costs a minimum bid more than the current leader. The Charts board ranks entries by everything paid on them and never expires; the Today board ranks on what was spent in the last twenty-four hours, so a payment falls off it a day later while staying on the chart. We may change the ranking, the minimums, the genres or these terms. A payment is governed by the terms in force when you paid.
Listing for nothing A link may be placed on the chart without paying. A free entry buys nothing: it ranks below every entry that has paid, it is not advertising we have been paid to carry, and it carries no promise that it will stay on the chart, stay at any position, or be shown at all. We limit how many free entries one person may place in a day and may change or withdraw free listing entirely at any time. Everything else in these terms applies to a free entry exactly as it applies to a paid one, including what may not be listed and what you promise about the music you list. Paying on a free entry later raises that same entry rather than creating a second one, and from then on it is a paid entry.
Who may use the site You must be eighteen or older and able to enter a contract. If you are acting for a company or a label, you must have authority to bind it, and "you" includes it. You may not use the site if United States law bars us from serving you.
Payment Checkout is handled by Stripe, on Stripe's own pages. We never see or hold your card number. Prices are in United States dollars and tax may be added at checkout. Completing checkout is your offer to buy a place at the terms shown to you. The rank is assigned when Stripe confirms the payment and the entry is written to the chart, at whatever position the amount supports at that moment.
Payments are final Payments are not refundable. The service is delivered the instant Stripe confirms it: the entry appears or its bid rises, and the money is counted in public on the chart. Being outbid, sliding off the Today board after a day, getting fewer clicks than you hoped, disliking the genre you chose, an outage, or removal of your entry for breaking these terms are none of them grounds for a refund. Starting a chargeback or a payment dispute without a legal basis is itself a breach: a disputed payment is taken back off the entry it paid for, and we may refuse to serve you again.
The music you list List only a track, release, playlist or profile you own or are authorised to promote. By entering a link and paying, you promise that you hold or represent the rights in that recording and its artwork, that sending listeners to it breaks no agreement you are under, that you are not impersonating another artist, label or company, that you are not bidding on somebody else's music without their say-so, that the destination is not malware, phishing or a deception, and that what you tell us is true.
What may not be listed Adult and pornographic destinations; chat, invite and messaging-group links; link shorteners that hide where they lead; anything illegal, fraudulent, defamatory, harassing, hateful or violent; anything that exploits children; bootlegs, unlicensed uploads and other infringements of somebody else's copyright or trademark; and impersonation of any kind. You also may not interfere with the site: no scraping beyond ordinary reading, no inflating click counts, no working around the rate limits, and no automated bidding without our written permission.
We can take an entry down We may refuse, delay, edit, recategorise, hide or remove any entry or bid, with or without warning, where we believe these terms, the chart rules or the law have been broken, where a rights holder complains, or where an entry looks likely to cause us legal, security or reputational trouble. Removal earns no refund. A free entry we may remove at any time, for any reason or none, with or without warning.
What we show about a track To run the chart our server reads publicly available information about the destination you submit, such as its title and description, and shows it beside your entry. We use that material only to identify what a paid placement points at. We are not claiming the rights holder endorses us or you. MustBeTheMusic, its wordmark and the look of the site are ours: do not copy the site, do not scrape the chart to build a rival one, and do not use our name in a way that suggests we back you.
What you let us do with your entry You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, cache, resize, format, rank and publicly display your entry and the information we read about its destination, for as long as we need it to run and promote the site and to keep a record of what the chart has looked like. Ask us at support@bluebliptech.com to take an entry down. A takedown does not undo a completed payment.
Copyright complaints If you hold the rights in a recording and believe an entry infringes them, send a DMCA notice to support@bluebliptech.com with your name and contact details, the entry on our chart, the destination it points at, what the infringement is, a statement that you believe in good faith the use is unauthorised, a statement under penalty of perjury that your notice is accurate and that you are the rights holder or act for them, and your signature. We may hide the entry while we look at it, and we may pass your notice to whoever placed it. If your entry was removed and you believe that was wrong, send a counter-notice to the same address with the matching statements. Accounts and links that infringe repeatedly are barred.
We do not vouch for anything Appearing on the chart is not our opinion. We do not check that a listed track, artist, claim or figure is what it says it is. Click and view counts are what our own systems recorded, not a promise that you will see the same. A link from the chart leaves our site for somebody else's, with its own terms and its own behaviour, and what happens there is not ours to answer for.
The site is provided as it is It may be slow, unavailable or wrong. To the fullest extent the law allows we disclaim every warranty, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, and we do not promise that the site will be uninterrupted or secure or that names, ranks or counts are accurate.
What we can owe you Nothing here limits liability the law says we may not limit. Subject to that, we are not liable for lost profits, lost data, lost goodwill, substitute services or any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss; and our total liability on any claim is limited to what you paid us for the entry the claim concerns in the three months before it arose.
If your entry causes us trouble You will defend and indemnify Blue Blip Tech LLC and the people working on the site against claims, damages, losses and reasonable legal fees arising from your entry, its destination, your payment or chargeback, your breach of these terms, or your infringement of somebody else's rights. We may take over the defence of such a claim, and you will help us with it.
Governing law These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The state and federal courts sitting in Georgia have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, and you consent to being sued there. Where a consumer protection you cannot sign away applies to you, it still applies.
The rest If part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest stands and that part is read as closely to its intent as the law allows. Not enforcing something once does not waive it. You may not transfer these terms; we may, if the site changes hands. These terms, the chart rules, the collection notice and what you confirm at checkout are the whole agreement between us. Payment and hosting involve other companies, and their outages and decisions are not ours to control.
